I don't remember

It's the Welsh Memory Championship the weekend after next, and I've done no training for it. I'm probably going to do really really badly, like in France last year. But at least that competition put me more in the memory-training mood, and I went on to win some other competitions (as far as I can recall).

I should spend next weekend practicing for it, but then I should have spent this weekend doing that too, and I didn't. I'm still really struggling with the motivation.

Good luck!

Hmmm I seem to recall you saying you'd never been to Wales before. So at least it should be an educational experience!

Your uncanny ability to remember every word I've ever said never ceases to amaze me, JB. Have you considered entering a memory competition?

But you're right, this will be my first-ever visit to Wales. I hope Cardiff is exactly like it is on Doctor Who, or I'm going to be disappointed...

Is it an official decathlon with international standard?

If you go, would you be so kind and take a couple of pictures? I would love to write about that competition. And pictures are the salt for a good article. :)

Best Regards,
Florian

Heh, first test of the memory competition: remember where it is. I did read your email, I just didn't really look at the address, figuring that I wouldn't need to know it for another couple of weeks and I didn't want to overburden my poor little brain...

And yes, Florian, it's a ten-discipline, National Standard competition (I think - Dai might have told me otherwise and I ignored it). I haven't got a camera, but I'm sure someone will take pictures!

Thanks for the kind offer Dai, but there seems to be some confusion -My previous post may have given the impression that I'm located in or near the UK, I'm not.

Anyway, thanks for the compliment Ben. I've never given Memory Sports much though before, but I have been wanting to study Ars Memoriae for a long time. Hmmmm maybe over summer break...
