Speed cards

I've been practicing, but I don't think I've been practicing in the most intelligent way. What I should be doing is practicing taking the pack a bit slower, linking each location together, and seeing if I can get my time doing that down to around thirty seconds or so. If I could do a safe thirty-something seconds in competition, that would be enough to squish my opponents. But I prefer to practice doing it as fast as possible, leaving the individual locations isolated, which is riskier but significantly under 25 seconds most of the time.

I'm not a very professional kind of competitor. I can't stand doing slower-but-safer when I know I could be doing fast-and-probably-make-a-mess-of-things. Which is strange, because I was always good at egg-and-spoon races at school.

hi ben, this doesnt really have anything to do with your post, but i thought there would be a higher chance of you reading it if i posted it here. im a big fan of yours after watching the mentalists documentary and would love to see you perform live. i heard you are goin around universities at the moment and showing off your abilities, i was just wondering if you are coming 2 the UEA at norwich?? that would be amazing. also i was wondering if you have any tips for remembering dreams. your dream about the sour bee was hilarious. i have some pretty strange dreams too, but can never remember them. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I don't think we're doing UEA. We've just got, I think, seven unis booked for this batch of tours - remaining ones are Preston, Glasgow, Dundee, Birmingham, Royal Holloway and another one, oh yes, Sunderland. Speak to your psychology department, who should have probably heard from James Paterson, who's doing the organising, and see if you can pester them into inviting us along.

As for remembering dreams, my technique is to write it down in as much detail as possible before I forget or, even better than that because of the risk of losing the thing I write it down on, tell my brother all about it. He has a much better memory than me (he could be world memory champion if he wanted to make the effort), and I'm going to have to ask him to remind me about some of the details of an amazing Captain Planet adventure I dreamt a while ago, next time I see him.

By the way, you're not the real Warwick Davis, are you? I think he lives in Peterborough, doesn't he, which isn't a million miles from Norwich...
