I'm not calling it "twenty-eleven" because that sounds like a silly made-up number. Anyway, I'm very resolute about this new year. I'm going to follow a realistic schedule of memory training, and I'm going to cut cherry coke out of my diet. So by the end of 2011, I'll be the world memory champion again and I'll be painfully thin, and so I'll have to resolve to not do any more training and to gorge myself with delicious unhealthy drinks!
Just to be clear, are you just dropping Cherry Coke or carbonated beverages in general? Frankly, I suspect the latter would kill me!

The whole shebang! It's nothing but water for me from now until I give in and start drinking coke again. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when I go to McDonald's or Burger King, not to mention the pub (because I haven't resolved to stop eating in any of those places), but I'm sure I'll think of something...
ReplyDeleteYour greatest fame will always be your performance in memory competition. And if you resolve to come back and win it in 2011, it will in effect negate your loss in 2010.
