Therefore the heat from your bulb is not wasted at all: it acts to turn off your heating very slightly sooner than it would otherwise switch off as your desired temperature will be reached ever so slightly earlier. The energy saved by your heating system will exactly match the energy "wasted" by your bulb :-)<BR/><BR/>If you really want to save energy, turn your thermostat down a degree or two.
